Last weekend we saw the 13th edition of Poney Session arrive in Saint Lary with the World Snowboard Tour. Not only is this event an excellent showcase of talent, it is also a great weekend to party and hit the slopes. With blue skies all weekend and perfect snow conditions the crowd were left more than happy with the Poney Session crew.
The event was hosted by (the godfather) Mathieu Crepel who stated that “the great spirit of the Poney Session reigned once again: competitors of a high level, togetherness, performance… everything that characterizes snowboarding and why we love our sport, our passion. I’m happy. The French represented us well, and we all had a great time!”
The results were as follows:
1st. Jonas Boesiger – 84.72 points (SWISS)
2nd. Antoine Truchon – 83.05 points (CANADIAN)
3rd. Stian Kleivdal – 79.44 points (NORWEGIAN)
In addition to the snowboard championship there was also a “Cash for tricks” tournament where all of the riders, and Mathieu Crepel, provided an exhibition of their talents to compete for the prize money.
